With this exhibition Arnór Kári is diving into the unconscious flow of drawing. By creating images from a neutral mind-state or non-self-critical point, he automatically reflects on the internal process happening within the physical. Hidden elements bloom, wanting to be seen, to have a visual voice of their own.
Starting out with a random “blob” of colour, he gives space for the mind to break out of the usual box of deciding what it wants to create, and the black paint-marker flows intuitively to make way for imaginary creatures inspired by our surroundings and life in it’s varied dimensional forms.
You should try it for yourself and experience your own intuitive flowmotion!
Arnór Kári is a multidimensional artist weaving threads between the many different ways of creation. His main focus nowadays is on street-art and electronic music; going by the name of Andartak, as well as studying Creative Writing at the University of Iceland.
For the past 10 years Arnór Kári has played a big role, alongside others of his generation, in the development of the street-art scene in Reykjavík. Introducing to the city how much joy and life it gives to be surrounded by colourful paintings rather than plain white or grey walls. - This colourful adventure is sure to continue!
