What would your dream school look like ?
In this afternoon workshop for kids (7-12) we will ask participants to imagine their dream school and then draw and/or paint it !
This workshop will be hosted by Stephanie Severino (swiss photographer exhibiting in Listastofan at that time) and Martyna Daniel (co-director of Listastofan).
Stephanie Severino recently volunteered in a school in Cambodia and will challenge kids into imagining other types of schools.
"I volunteered in a small school called «Le Jardin des Langues Ayravady» (The Garden of Languages), which offers Chinese, English and French classes to the children of Kep, a small city in the South of Cambodia. It is also a recreation center which is attached to a tennis club. I was there for two months and taught English two hours per day to children and young adults.
We are hoping to put in place a garden where the children could learn with someone qualified how to grow vegetables and fruits. The vegetables and fruits could then be sold, which could make the school a tiny bit more independent and self-sufficient, or given to families in need.
Furthermore, we intend to put in place water projects for sanitaries and the reuse of the rainwater."
We provide all supplies and welcome kids from all nationalities.
